Thanks to California’s ideal climate, carrots are grown year round across the state. The number one producing growing area in California is Kern County. Other growing regions include Imperial County, Salinas Valley in Monterey County, the Lancaster area of Los Angeles County, Cuyama Valley in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, Fresno County, and Owens Valley in Mono County.
